Minutes of a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, 937907 Marsh Bay Road, Coleman Township, on Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.

Motion 09-11-14 MOVED By Lois Perry and SECONDED BY Pat Tresidder:
WHEREAS this meeting deals with personal matters about identifiable individuals including municipal or local board employees;
AND WHEREAS this meeting deals with a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT this meeting be closed to the public. Carried.
Mayor Belanger opened the meeting by introducing Mr. Derrick Buffam who led the group through a table top exercise on Pandemic Training.
The exercise consisted of preparedness, readiness strategies, business continuity and pandemic planning. Mr. Buffam also included infection control in a workplace and possible solutions to some areas of concerns, recommendations during an influenza pandemic and he stressed the importance of personal preparedness and readiness.
Mayor Belanger thanked Mr. Buffam for his excellent presentation.
Written copies of the “Accessible Customer Service were distributed and reviewed.
Mayor Belanger read correspondence received from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada advising that the Township of Coleman’s project was not recommended for funding under the Small Projects Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) 2009.
The Clerk-Treasurer advised the Township of Coleman does not own any mining rights in the vicinity of the Northern College site.
