ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Motion 12-06-17 MOVED BY Lois Perry and SECONDED BY Cathy Marcella:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the agenda for the special meeting of June 12, 2012 as presented. Carried.
DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OR PECUNIARY INTEREST
Councillor Perry declared a conflict with matters dealing with The Speaker.
1. Speaker – ad for Canada Day – Display the Flag Contest
Motion 12-06-18 MOVED BY Cathy Marcella and SECONDED BY Pat Tresidder:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to purchase an ad in The Speaker for Canada Day – Display the Flag Contest – $178.00. Carried.
2. CIBC – Loan Remainder
CIBC have advised there is now 7 years 1 month left remaining on the Coleman Water Distribution Loan after the May payment in the amount of $70,000.00.
3. Town of Cobalt – Accreditation Program for Operating Authorities quote
Council approved the quote submitted by NSF International Strategic Registrations for the Accreditation Program.
4. Hydro One – Carriere Road Extension
The Clerk-Treasurer to ask Mr. George Kemp to review the easement agreement for the Carriere Road Extension and request that Mr. Ryan Seguin forward the survey to Hydro One.
5. Review quote for Road Resurfacing
Council reviewed the resurfacing tender submitted by The Miller Group.
Motion 12-06-19 MOVED BY Pat Tresidder and SECONDED BY Susan Cote:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the Miller Group Surface Treatment Proposal in principle.
AND FURTHER Councillor Marcella and the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to negotiate a 10 year plan with The Miller Group on behalf of Council. Carried.
Council reviewed correspondence received from the Cobalt – Coleman Public School. Mrs. Tina Gagnon will present the Township of Coleman Grade 8 Science Award on behalf of the Township. The Clerk-Treasurer to ask what the school plans to do with the Coleman Trophy and, if possible, could it be housed at the municipal complex in the future for safe keeping.
