Minutes of a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, 937907 Marsh Bay Road, Coleman Township, on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

There were present:

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA 

Motion 14-04-29 MOVED BY Susan Cote and SECONDED BY Cathy Marcella:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the agenda for the regular meeting of April 24th, 2014 as presented – addition to New Business: Montreal River Update. Carried.

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 

Ipad training

A representative from Staples was in attendance to provide some training on the Ipads which will now be used to circulate information to Council prior and following meetings.

WSIB Volunteer Firefighter coverage

The Clerk-Treasurer to enquire coverage provided to Volunteer Firefighters in neighbouring municipalities.

NEW BUSINESS 

Federal Gas Tax Agreement

Council will review the recent Federal gas tax Agreement before approving the by-law recommended by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

Montreal River Update

Council reviewed the update on flows at OPG Facilities on the Montreal River System.

Motion 14-04-30 MOVED BY Lois Perry and SECONED BY Cathy Marcella:

WHEREAS Section 239 (2) states that a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to

the public if the subject matter being considered is:

(a) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to reconvene in closed session at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the following matter: Sharp Lake Park Carried.

Motion 14-04-31 MOVED BY Cathy Marcella and SECONDED BY Lois Perry:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to reconvene in open session at 7:30 p.m. without a report. Carried.
