Minutes of a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, 10 Prospect Avenue, Cobalt, on Wednesday, April 19th, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.

Motion 06-04-16 MOVED BY Marcel Allaire and SECONDED BY Ron Beeson: WHEREAS a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered is :

litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board;

a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the part of the meeting dealing with these matters will be closed to the public Carried.

Mr. Biff Lowery was in attendance to gather information regarding the Cobalt Water Act.

Allan Legros, Barry Geddes and Chris Lovesey were in attendance to discuss the proposed forest harvesting agreement in Coleman.

The meeting was opened to the public.

The May regular meeting will be rescheduled to May 17th as four Members of Council are attending the FONOM conference.

The next Economic Development Committee meeting will be held May 3rd at 5:00 p.m.

The Clerk-Treasurer to contact Ms Esther Millar, Temiskaming Health Unit, to reschedule the “Cobalt Water Act” meeting to a later date as four Members of council will be attending the FONOM conference on May 10th.

The minutes of the Temiskaming Municipal Association were tabled.

Council reviewed correspondence received from the Tri-Town & District Chamber of Commerce regarding the bridge closure on Highway 101 South in Notre-Dame-du-Nord for a three month period.
